Rockbrook Village Starts Organic Farmers Market
Rockbrook Village®, known as the shopping center for locally-owned businesses, boutiques and restaurants has added a new summer event—an Organic Farmers Market.
Free to the public, this boutique-farmers market is held on Thursday evenings from 4:00 – 7:00pm in the parking area behind Subway and consists of organic farmers and local vendors.
With a huge variety of products, patrons can shop and purchase everything they need for dinner and dessert on their way home from work. Items include farm fresh produce, grass-fed pork, chicken and beef, eggs, herbs, homemade jams and spreads, seasoning mixes, herbal teas, bedding plants, perennials, succulents, flowers, baked goods and much more.
Shoppers can also sign up for a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) for a popular way to get healthy, local foods on a weekly basis, while supporting the local farm economy at the same time.
“I think people will be excited to see what a incredible market this is,” says Sarah Backhaus, Marketing Director. “It’s completely dedicated to organic and local foods and plants—it’s all about quality over quantity—which is a theme that you’ll find throughout Rockbrook Village.”
With six to eight organic farmers and local vendors, the Organic Farmers Market at Rockbrook Village is every Thursday through August 27th.
