Little Espana to Open in Rockbrook
Little Espana will open in Rockbrook Village® Shopping Center.
This is a second location for local-owners Carlos Mendez and Palmira Balsiene, who own Espana in Benson, the first tapas restaurant in Omaha.
Little Espana will feature a Mediterranean diet with foods from Spain and will go back to their original roots with menu items that are completely unique to the Rockbrook Village location.
“Our concept fits really well here because it’s a local-family feel,” says Mendez. “Which is what we are all about.”
Menu items will be made from scratch with ingredients from Spain, and will feature over 30 tapas, paella, salads and soups, as well as craft cocktails and “best in town” traditional sangria.
Open for lunch, dinner, happy hour and brunch, patrons can expect to indulge in the culture of Spain, from food, to atmosphere, to family-style dinning.
“The culture in Spain is very friendly and family-oriented,” says Mendez. “We really care about our customers and aim to make them comfortable the moment they walk in.”
Little Espana will occupy the former Taste space and will pay attention to that customer by offering an appealing lunch menu with access to an outdoor patio in 2015.
“We are a big family and we operate as a family,” says Mendez, “That’s one of the reasons why we think Rockbrook Village is a great place to be.”
Little Espana is expected to open in Rockbrook Village in December 2014.
