New Restaurant Brings Authentic Japanese Ramen to Rockbrook Village
Rizin Ramen opened its doors to the public last week bringing authentic Japanese fare to the Village. This is the first restaurant for owner Hidehisa Takahashi, a native of Japan.
At Rizin, menu items will be made from scratch with fresh ingredients and will feature mainly Japanese style ramen, as well as rice bowls, sushi and appetizers. “There are many different styles of ramen and lots of ramen restaurants popping up now, but most of them don’t offer authentic Japanese style ramen,” explains Takahashi who says it took him over three years to decide on the flavors and style of ramen he would eventually offer in his new restaurant.
Takahashi boasts an impressive resume with nearly 30 years of experience working with sushi and ramen restaurants in both Japan and Las Vegas. Now he’s bringing his talent to Omaha with a no-nonsense approach offering delicious Japanese food at an affordable price. “We want to make authentic Japanese ramen and sushi accessible to all which is why we plan to keep the atmosphere casual and our prices reasonable,” says Takahashi who sees a gap in the market for this particular type of eatery.
Customers can enjoy lunch and dinner seven days a week. Monday – Friday you can find them open over the lunch hour from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm and 4:30 – 9:00 pm for dinner. Saturdays they will be open 11:30 am – 9:00 pm and 11:30 – 8:00 pm on Sundays.
